Slowness was an exhibition that presented six emerging international artists who work with video and live performance. I curated this exhibition for Liverpool Independents 2008, the expanded programme of Liverpool Biennial, the UK’s largest festival of Contemporary Art.
Slowness reflected my early interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, with each new artwork paring a visual artist with a musician, writer or performer. The exhibition sought to subvert and reinterpret conventional perceptions of time based artworks.
